Shan Steam Green tea is a Vietnamese local variety tea type and the ancient Shan tea plants are prized for the quality teas they produce.
The tea plants are cared for by more than 2,000 ethnic highland people (Dzap, H’Mong) and cultivated according to Rainforest/organic standards to make the fragrance and sweetness characteristic of the tea. The teas are not exposed to pesticides and fertilisers.
The teas are processed by artisans with modern equipment imported from Taiwan (rolling technology) and Japan (steam technology).
